The UK Companies House provides for each registered company the identities of its directors, secretaries, and ultimate owners (Persons with Significant Control) with their present or past status  3, 41
  • Officers and Management
    A registry of both active and resigned officers 4, 1 . For each officer, Companies House publishes:
    • Role: Director, Secretary, LLPs Designated Member, or Corporate Director 3, 4 .
    • Personal Information: Full name, month and year of birth (day of birth is kept private), nationality, and country of residence 1 .
    • Addresses: A public service address (which is often the registered office address) and a private, protected residential address 4, 1 .
    • Appointment & Resignation Dates: Historic dates mapping out when the officer joined and left the company 4 .
  • Persons with Significant Control (PSC)
    Designed to prevent financial crime and map ultimate beneficial ownership, this register lists individuals or corporate entities holding 4 :
    • More than 25% of the company’s shares or voting rights 4 .
    • The right to appoint or remove the majority of directors 3 .
    • The legal right to exercise “significant influence or control” over the company 2 .
    • Details recorded: Name, nationality, country of residence, service address, date of birth (month/year), the date they became a PSC, and the exact nature of their control 4, 1 .
    (Note: Under the UK’s corporate reform rules, identity verification is progressively required for directors and PSCs to ensure the integrity of this data 4 .)
