For almost all UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships (LLPs), these documents are publicly accessible and available to download as free PDFs 2, 4 .

The filing history provides transparent insight into a company’s financial health, structure, and legal compliance 1, 4 . The key types of information and documents found in this section include:

  • Financial Accounts
    • Annual Accounts: Financial statements submitted at the end of each financial year, which typically include balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and explanatory notes 1, 3 . The level of detail depends on the size of the company (e.g., micro-entity, small, or full accounts) 3 .
  • Confirmation Statements (formerly Annual Returns)
